Hi Folks... This is Carl Jervis. I happen to own this rental. It is fully renovated, on a quiet street, close to library, museum, shopping, swimming pool, etc. The house is super clean. The house has a screened front porch, a screened back porch and a balcony off the master suite. I am the first reviewer.

I wanted to thank you for all of your hospitality. We loved staying in your cozy cabin. Our Ferry Boat Trip to Cayo Costa State Park was awesome. It has a Lovely 9 miles of beautiful beaches, people might like to know the beaches are not crowded at all, at lest not when we were there. Fort Myers Beach is wall-to-wall people so anybody who would like to do seashell hunting or just visit laid-back uncrowded beaches might like to go there. They can get a day pass to swim or fish there, They offer a trip for one or for two Islands for about $5-8 more to Cabbage Key Island where you can get good food all for approximately $45. Everyone one there was seeking uncrowded, laid back beach and fishing experiences. I just thought others people you rent to are seeking the same thing Sincerely Rebekka Response from Carl Jervis: Thanks Rebekka...It was a pleasure to have you. Please come back again soon...

Mary Karen V. said...May 28, 2018..Quiet Seclusion...Even on a soggy Memorial Day weekend, we had a fabulous time on Pine Island. The cottage is well appointed if you like to cook and you have total privacy at the end of a gravel road. Great job in refurbishing an old cottage. There are many places to eat and a particularly nice gallery in Bokeelia. Since it rained all weekend, we didn't get to kayak or take advantage of the outdoor activities, but we did enjoy the great LP collection and watched several movies. Be aware that there is no cable for the TV, but if you understand a fire stick, you will be in good shape. Pine Island is what I imagine old Florida was like! There is nothing pretentious here and nothing that feels "touristy."

Melissa U. said...Apr 30, 2017...Perfect little place to get away from it all...I can't say enough of how adorable this cottage was. The area is secluded enough to make you feel like you're alone, but still close enough to everything in town. The perfect place for much needed time away from reality. Carl was beyond attentive even for being out of town himself. We'll be looking forward to renting from him again!

Discovered old vinyl records, cassettes and a lifetime of CDs. Lynn's beautiful photos grace the walls. Yes, the White Peacocks visited. We loved this place.

John & Melanie G. said...Date of Stay Feb 28, 2017....Excellent accomodations and terrific landlords...We thoroughly enjoyed our month at Lynn & Carl's Vintage Florida Cracker House. The cozy cottage was very clean and well stocked with pots, pans, books, music , WIFI, and a variety of premium TV channels via Roku. We enjoyed sunning on the deck and received several visits from a flock of peacocks, an armadillo, a squadron of 4 eagles, ospreys galore and many other birds (bring your binoculars)! The cottage is very private, providing a wonderful getaway for two. We could not have asked for a better introduction to Pine Island. Lynn and Carl provided many personal touches (wait until you see Lynn's photography, Carl's music collection and Carl even printed out our baseball tickets) that you just won't get at most seasonal rentals. Stay with confidence and enjoy!

sheila h. said...Date of Stay Feb 29, 2016....Relaxing and peaceful retreat for March,2016.....We were pleasantly surprised when we discovered our house was off the main road in a very quiet neighborhood. It was very private-no noise at all so we could leave our windows open at night and not hear the sound of cars. The queen size bed was in its own room, a handy kitchen and washer-dryer right there so we did not have to go outside to do the laundry. Large refrigerator and stove-everything we needed to cook. Bonus to the house was the cable TV which had Netflix-that is all we watched! There was also a radio,VHS and cassette player with lots of cassettes. It was a great place to come back to after a day in Ft.Myers or Cape Coral and have a quiet place. The public pool on Pine Island is great-salt water and heated. Only $2.00 for seniors and $4.00 for others.I forgot to mention that there are 2 white peacocks on the property-It was exciting to see them! I would recommend this place to couples although there was a pull-out sofa in the living room.

Pat S. said...Date of Stay Jan 31, 2016.....An amazing month in Bokeelia.....The Tropical Lane cottage was absolutely perfect! It was clean, comfortable, private, and surrounded by natural beauty. Carl and Lynn were wonderful landlords who truly care about their renters. We enjoyed every minute of our stay with quiet walks, beautiful peacocks and a cottage filled with charm and incredible art work. Carl is also a music collector, which gave us the opportunity to listen to a wide assortment of albums, CDs and tapes. If you are looking for a perfect getaway that is still close enough to restaurants and marinas, this is for you! We feel fortunate to have found Carl not only as our landlord, but also as our Realtor from Dream Home Associates. We had a fantastic stay on Tropical Lane!!
